Newspapers generally feature articles on crime, political events, business, society, sports, art and entertainment. An editorial page is also featured by most of the traditional newspapers which contains columns of writers that express their personal opinions. Another section which is supplementary may contain comics, advertising and coupons.

Some aim on reader’s groups not defined by their location but by their interests. There are weekly & daily sports newspapers and business newspapers. Some weekly newspapers still are more specialists. These newspapers are distributed in limited areas and are usually free. The more precise categories are stated below.
Daily Newspapers :
With the exception of national holidays, a daily newspaper is published every day. The Sunday editions of these newspapers include advertising inserts & more specialized sections. This makes them larger and much costlier. Daily newspapers generally published in morning but some of them are published in afternoon or even in evening too which focuses more at the office workers.
Weekly Newspapers:
Weekly newspapers are smaller than the daily newspapers and are very common. In a week, some newspapers are published two or three times. These newspapers are termed as weeklies. According to a survey, people in United States generally prefer weekly newspapers.
National Newspapers:
As a local newspaper serves a city or a region, similarly many countries have at least a newspaper that is published in the whole country. It is called a national newspaper.
World Newspapers:
There is also a category which is termed as international or world newspapers. Often these world editions don’t have the wider spectrum of readers but still they are into existence.
Online Newspapers:
An online version of a printed publication is known as online newspaper. It is also termed as web newspaper. It is very similar to a general newspaper whose existence is on the Internet. Online publication reduced the printing costs as compared to printed publications. They are very popular among people these days. Also there are several advantages of blogs for the professional journalists.
